Netscape Navigator

The Netscape Navigator has it's own little quirks, but nothing too strenuous as a rule. The main thing for all you PC-techs to remember is that the interface is almost identical, with only some minor variations (usually in how the settings screens look).



Error Messages

"Netscape was unable to create a network socket connection. There may be insufficient system resources or the network may be down (Reason: Network is down)"

"Netscape was unable to locate the host <xxx.xxxxx.xxx>. The server does not have a DNS entry. Check the server name in the location (URL) and try again."

"The Application 'Netscape' (or 'unknown') has unexpectedly quit due to an error of Type 1" (or Type 2, Type 3, Type 10, Type 11)

"An error occurred while sending data. Network error: Broken Pipe"

"Netscape's connection was refused by the server <xxx.xxxxxxx.xxx>. Try connecting again later."

"Unable to connect to POP3 server. Server responded 'Password specified for POP3 userid is incorrect. Please enter a new password for userid@pop.erols.com'"

"The wrong version of Java_30 is installed."
