What it is

This error is really stupid. It is cause by the ObjectSupportLib file, a complete history of which can be found by clicking on the ObjectSupportLib link (a few words back, don't you know), or by clicking here. If you really don't care, and just want to fix it...

Procedure

1. Double-click on the icon.
2. Double-click on the System Folder.
3. Double-clicck on the Extensions folder. There's going to be a LOT of stuff in here, so go up to "View" (in the menu bar) and choose "By Name."
4. There will be a file (now located down in the O's) called "ObjectSupportLib."
5. Click on the ObjectSupportLib one time, then go up to "File" and choose "Get Info..." That will give you a window similar to this:
   

6. Take a look at the version number. If the version number is 1.0.2, then that's the problem. Those versions of the ObjectSupportLib block Netscape 2.02's ability to retrieve mail. Have the user go to http://www.erols.com/sitzkrieg/mailfix.html and follow the directions there.
