Special Computer Training for People with Special Needs

As the number of jobs in the field of Information Technology is increasing, a San Jose-based non-profit organization is devoted to make exciting careers in this field possible for people with disabilities. DPI Inc. provides a lab "equipped to accommodate and train people with spinal cord injuries, visions impairment, multiple sclerosis and repetitive stress injuries."
"All of the lab's programs are designed to develop the motivation, tools and skills required for people with disabilities to successfully pursue careers in information technology."
"The free school-to-career program provides high school and college students with disabilities with opportunities in information technology careers through internships, networking, mentoring and job shading, where students regularly meet with professionals at the job site."
DPI programs run $75 per hour, except self-paced training, which costs $75 for the first hour and $15 for each additional hour. Scholarships are available. For more information, please visit DPI's Web site.
