Employment Statistics

According to American Demographics, a subdivision of Cowles Business Media, "thirteen percent of disabled Americans aged 25 to 64 with less than 12 years of education are employed. The rate almost quadruples (46 percent) for their counterparts with 16 or more years of schooling. It's important to remember, though, that in cases of severe disabilities, the same difficulties that keep people out of school also keep them out of the labor force."
