| We brought Devon home December
1998... |

My wife called one day and told me to hurry home from work... we're going
to look at a puppy! I said 'absolutely not'!!! The rest is history...

Golden Retriever's are great with kids... The neighborhood kids knock on
our door to see if Devon can come out and play... Devon thinks she's one of them! We have
two Golden Retrievers living directly behind us... Clark and Sammy (Samantha)... Saturday
mornings I find them on our deck looking into the kitchen... Seeing the 3 of them run
around is relaxing... until they start digging up our newly laid sod and landscaping!!! |
| My Parents In-Law have a Standard
Poodle... Pushkin... |

Here's Pushkin stopping by for a visit... He's incredibly hyper and
antagonistic! After becoming tired of the unrelenting abuse Devon finally bit Pushkin's
ears and would swing from them! Quick note: Standard poodles were bred as hunting dogs...
very fast and powerful... they're wolves in sheeps clothing... be careful!

Not one of my best works... but at least it's consistent with the theme of
this page... If this were really Devon she would be halfway across the lake by now!
Goldens LOVE the water... her 2nd favorite activity is going to the beach with us and
diving head first into the surf... her 1st favorite is tearing up the family room
carpeting!!! |
