Life at Home

The latest biking-related activities include my duo race at 12 hours of Cranky Monkey. Look for duo open team RaceChix.

Dave is training for SM100 again, 100 miles of pain and misery on the Mountain Bike. Sounds fun!

On the Naomi-front, we finally got a membership to the local pool and are tyring to get her more interested in learning to swim than in pestering the other children. No luck thus far. We got her a Razor Scooter recently, and also kitted her up in cycling gear.

Now that Oso has passed away, my 13-year old dog Maya and my 18-year old cat Kachina are in a competition to see who can out-last the other. Maya has been in poor health for at least 5 years and Kachina was nearly carried off by cardiac problems 2 years ago. None the less I expect Maya to make it to 15 and Kachina to live however long it takes to out-live the #$&*@! dog.
Billy has Giardia and Cryptosporidia as a reminder of our hike to a local spring on the 4th of July. I thought springs were supposed to be clean! We missed 2 dog shows as a result, but that's okay, he would have NQ'd anyway (He is Mr. Social Butterfly on his out-of-sight stays).
