46. John4 Fowler (John3, (Capt.) William2, William1) was born in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut before 5 April 1691. John died 30 August 1756 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 65.

He married twice. He married Susannah Burwell 28 February 1711/2 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.(130) Susannah was born in August 1688 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. She was the daughter of Samuel Burwell and Susannah Newton Stone. Susannah died 18 March 1744 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 55. He married Abigail Bryan Prince after 1744 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. Abigail was born in 1693 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. He served as town clerk in Milford for 38 years starting in 1718. In 1739 he was appointed Captain and commissioned to make provisions for fitting out troops to be raised for His Majesty's service in an expedition to Canada, also to raise 200 men, including officers, for the defense of the frontier. He served as a deputy for Milford to the General Court. He conveyed by deed in his will, property and lands to his son John while living. He lived and died on the old homestead of the original William and his only son John succeeded him there.
