He married Mercy Kirkam 5 September 1747 in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.(217) Mercy was born probably in Connecticut. Mercy died 8 October 1771 in N. Guilford, New Haven Co., CT, at age unknown.

Josiah Fowler and Mercy Kirkam had the following children:

• 250 ii. William Fowler was born in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut 11 December 1749. William died 24 November 1776 in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 26.

• 251 iii. Josiah Fowler was born in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut 12 October 1751.

• 252 iv. Joseph Fowler was born in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut 9 May 1758. Joseph died 5 September 1775 in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 17.

• 253 v. Elizabeth Fowler was born in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut 11 May 1763. Elizabeth died 13 September 1775 in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 12.

• + 254 vi. Sarah Fowler was born 8 June 1764.

• 255 vii. Mercy Fowler was born in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut 23 May 1770.
