2. John2 Atkinson Sr. (Thomas1) was born in Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts in 1636.(51) John died between June 1713 and 29 September 1715, in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 76.(52)

He married three times. He married Sarah Mirricke 27 April 1664 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(53) Sarah was born about 1643 in Charlestown, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts.(54) She was the daughter of James Myrick and Margaret ?. He married an unknown person before 1694 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(55) He married Hannah Noyes 3 June 1700 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(56) Hannah was born "last of" October 1643 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(57) She was the daughter of Nicholas Noyes and Mary Cutting.

John Atkinson Sr. and Sarah Mirricke had the following children:

Sarah3 Atkinson was born in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts 27 November 1665.(58) Sarah died 20 January 1724 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 58.(59) She married Stephen Coffin 8 October 1685 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(60) Stephen was born 18 August 1664/5 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(61) He was the son of Tristram Coffin and Judith Greenleaf Somerby. • 5 iii. Abigail Atkinson was born in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts 8 November 1673.(63) Abigail died 24 September 1725 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 51. Her body was interred First Parish Burial Grounds in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts. She married (Capt.) Jonathan Woodman 1 January 1695/6 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(64) Jonathan was born 16 April 1674 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(65) He was the son of (Sergt.)
