4. Stephen3 Coffin (Tristram2, Tristram1) was born in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts 18 August 1664/5.(163) Stephen died 31 August 1725 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 60.(164)

He married Sarah Atkinson 8 October 1685 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(165) Sarah was born 27 November 1665 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(166) She was the daughter of John Atkinson Sr. and Sarah Mirricke.

Stephen Coffin and Sarah Atkinson had the following children:

• 5 i. Lydia4 Coffin was born in Haverhill, Essex Co., Massachusetts 21 July 1691. Lydia died before 1720 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 28. She married Richard Carr 18 November 1715 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts. Richard was born 2 January 1693/4 in Salisbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(167) He was the son of Richard Carr and Dorothy ?. (See Richard Carr for the continuation of this line.)
