2. Tristram2 Coffin (Tristram1) was born in Plymouth, England in 1632.(154) Tristram died 4 February 1703/4
in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 71.(155) His body was interred in First Parish Burying Ground
in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(156)
His inscription reads, "To the memory of Tristram Coffin, Esq., who having served the first church
of Newbury in the office of Deacon 20 years died Feb. 4, 1703-4, aged 72 years. 'On earth he
pur-chas-ed a good degree, Great boldness in the faith and liberty, And now possesses
immortality.'"
He married Judith Greenleaf Somerby 2 March 1652/3 in
Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(157)
Judith was born 2 September 1626 in Ipswich, County Suffolk, England.(158) She was the daughter of Edmund
Greenleaf and Sara Moore.

Deborah3 Coffin was born in Newbury, Essex Co.,
Massachusetts 10 November 1655.(159) She
married Ens. Joseph Knight 31 October 1677 in Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(160) Joseph was born 21 June 1652 in
Newbury, Essex Co., Massachusetts.(161) He
was the son of John Knight and Bathsheba Ingersoll. (See Ens. Joseph Knight for the continuation of this line.)
