BRETT WEISS

Brett Weiss practices in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice, bankruptcy, estates and trusts, estate planning, small business advisement and general civil litigation. An honors graduate and National Moot Court Competition national finalist at the University of Maryland School of Law, Mr. Weiss served as law clerk to the Chief Administrative Judge of the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court before entering into private practice. Mr. Weiss has over eighteen years of practical legal experience, trying hundreds of cases within that time. Regularly appearing before the United States Bankruptcy Court, state and federal courts throughout the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia, he is a strong advocate for his clients.

Brett Weiss has received international media attention in connection with the cases he had handled. He has been interviewed by Barbara Walters on The View, appeared on the Montel Williams Show, the Today Show, the BBC World Service, German television, and numerous local radio and television programs, and been quoted in Money magazine, The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun, among others.

Mr. Weiss is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia federal (general and  Bankruptcy Court) and state bars, the United States Tax Court bar, the Fourth Circuit and District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals bars and the United States Supreme Court bar. He is a signatory to the Montgomery County Bar Association Lawyer's Creed of Professionalism.

DANIEL M. PRESS (of Counsel) Daniel Press practices primarily commercial and business litigation and arbitration, including intellectual property, bankruptcy, commercial litigation, construction law, international law and business matters, and internet and computer law. Mr. Press has extensive litigation experience in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout the country.

Mr. Press served as a member of the International Trade Task Force of the White House Conference on Small Business and is a member of the Federal Bar Association's Democracy Development Initiative legal talent bank. He is the author of Contract Claims Arising from FIRREA's Goodwill Provisions, 7 Review of Banking & Financial Services 209 (Dec. 18, 1991).

Daniel Press graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biology, and received his law degree magna cum laude from the Georgetown University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Law Journal. He was a judicial clerk to the Honorable Jaime Pieras, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

Mr. Press is a member of the bars of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Federal and Fourth Circuits, the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Districts of Puerto Rico, Maryland, the District of Columbia, the Northern District of California, and the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the Court of Federal Claims.
