As much as we love the outdoors, our cats do also.  We just finished the outdoor cat enclosure, and wanted to share with everyone it's construction.  It has two sections, which we can separate with a door if the boys want some fresh air too!  The cats can watch birds, chipmunks, squirrels and us from the safety of their own space.  While the outdoors is great we don't want to share the house with bugs (eck fleas or ticks), so the enclosure will be surrounded by pennyroyal plants.  This is a perennial herb which acts as a deterrent to most crawling things, and we don't have to spray or put down chemicals to keep them off us or the cats.
