CARD is a grass roots citizens and homeowners organization. We do not derive any income from this association--we work, pay taxes, raise our children, live our lives and pursue the American Dream. We have discovered certain interesting facts related to a proposal--The Western Transportation Corridor-- that threatens our homes, our lives, our culture and our environment; and we have established this site to offer these facts for your consideration. CARD and its members stand firm in their desire to protect our citizens, our resources, our schools, and our county from development practices that destroy our way of life in order to maximize the profit margin for a few developers that are already engaged in a profitable business.

Our right to offer these facts for your inspection is contained in the following:

In March of 1998 the Board of CARD decided to maintain this website for at least another year. Currently, the site is being updated and modernized, using what we have learned over the past year. Please be patient with us during reconstruction. Look for an updated website with new features and new information. Our goal is to complete this makeover by the end of March, 1988.

The Bottom Line: It is unfortunate that we have had to organize and expose this project for what it is. When all is said and done, we want to be able to look our grandchildren, and your grandchildren, in the eyes, and say that we have done the right thing. We have not allowed our heritage, our homes, and our natural resources to be plundered by a few at the expense of us all.
