Event Format and ScheduleFormat: Men's Singles & Mixed Doubles on Saturday Women's Singles, Women's Doubles, and Men's Doubles on Sunday Each singles player or doubles team will play a minimum of 3 matches All teams start in the A-draw. First round losers move to the C-draw, second round A losers move to the B-draw. Second round C losers move to the D-draw. A-draws will be limited to 32 teams maximum (16 for the women's singles and 16 for women's doubles). Registration closes when these limits are reached. The "rally scoring" system will be used: if you win a rally, you get a point plus the serve; the game is to 21 points and win by at least 2 points; if the score 29-29, the next point wins - the match will be the best two out of three games. Any round robins will use single 30-point games (with no extensions) against each team in your group. Feather Birds will be provided. Event Schedule: The starting times of individual matches will appear at the bottom of this page about 4 days before the tournament. A spreadsheet with 5 tabs at the bottom will appear. Click on the tabs of interest (such as XD for mixed doubles). Your computer may place the spreadsheet onto your desktop; if this happens, you must open it yourself with Excel. |
