Procedure

1. Make sure the FreePPP Setup isn't running
2. Double-click on the hard disk icon ()
3. Open the System Folder
4. Open the Preferences Folder
5. Find the file name PPP Preferences
6. Drag it to the Trash
7. Go to the "Special" menu bar and choose "Empty Trash"
8. Close down all of the windows you just opened
9. Go into the Erol's Internet folder and double-click on the FreePPP Setup. It should now look like this:

   

10. Click on the . Now you see this:

    

11. Uncheck "Allow applications to open connection"
12. Click "Disconnect if idle for" and set it to 45 minutes
13. Click "Show alerts during connect and disconnect"
14. Click on "Accounts"
15. Click on "Edit"
16. At the top of this screen, you will see:

    

17. Type in the a name for the server being dialled. It can be anything really, but it should be something that identifies the phone number being called.
18. Enter the phone number being dialled in the field labeled:

    

19. Enter the Userid and Password in the these fields:

    

20. Click on the "Connection" tab at the top of this screen.
21. Verify that the Port Speed and Flow Control are correct.
22. Click on "OK"

That's all (!) you need to do. You won't need to restart the computer or anything, just go ahead and click on the "Connect" button to dial.
