          Mona Lisa Site met ground rules for NGfL Badging

    ===========================================================

    Why is the Mona Lisa Smiling? has met the ground rules for
    the National Grid for Learning. It received a passing grade
    for content and would have undergone a technical check, had
    the ThinkQuest Library not closed. Oracle had acquired the
    ThinkQuest Library last December and hoped to republish the
    library on their server. It is our hope this will be done soon.
    As a result many of the original files, articles and functions
    of the Learning About Leonardo ThinkQuest Web Site have been
    preserved and moved to a new location temporarily.

                  Leonardo's Rearing Horse

        ===========================================================

       Long time contributor and Leonardo enthusiast Rina de Firenze
       has sent photos of a Rearing Horse sculpture which is based
       on Leonardo's drawing. Take a look at the shiny bronze.

        Brothers and sisters I have none, but that man's

         L.A. Bernstein Brings news of the WTC Memorial Competition

=======================================================================

        Hi Steve.
        Thanks, it would be great for you to add a link and
        highlight the concept in the August Newsletter.

        I also appreciate the concept proposed by Vebjorn Sand.

.

On the Millennial Renaissance Imagery website, there is updated
information about the WTC Site Memorial Competition which you can find
at: http://www.mri2000.com/html/rebuildtheWTC.html

Basically, over 13,680 people registered for this international design
competition. Out of that amazing number of people, only about 5,000
actually submitted in time to meet the deadline.

         The link below shows suggestions for building
         the World Trade Center Memorial.
