Nathan died 21 September 1818 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 77. His body was interred in Milford Center Cemetery in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.

He married twice. He married Susannah Miles 14 July 1761 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.(225) Susannah was born about 1743 probably in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. She was the daughter of Lt. Theophilus Miles and Katherine Tyley. Susannah died 2 September 1798 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 55. Her body was interred in Milford Center Cemetery in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. "For this end of all mankind How swift we hasten to the grave See all the living must be joined Unto the dust from whence they came."

He married Mehitable Platt 10 May 1799 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.(226) Mehitable was born 15 May 1738 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. She was the daughter of Richard Platt and Mehitable Fisk. Mehitable died 19 January 1818 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 79. Her body was interred in Milford Center Cemetery in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.

Nathan Fowler and Susannah Miles had the following children:

• 274 iv. Margaret Fowler was born in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut 21 March 1768. Margaret died 29 December 1831 in Orange (North Milford), New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 63. She married Richard Platt 5 June 1796 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.(227) Richard was born about 1766 probably in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. He was the son of Richard Platt and Sarah Camp. Richard died 19 June 1832 in Orange (North Milford), New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 65.
