"In his Life he sustained the chara cter of a kind husband and indul gent parent--, a beloved brother in the church of Christ & a worthy mem ber in community. In his last distress ing illness was patient and submiffive until death conquored. Ye living men come view the ground where you must shortly lie."

He married Content Baldwin before 1764 probably in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut.(223) Content was born 12 September 1740 in Milford, New Haven Co., Connecticut. She was the daughter of Nathan Baldwin and Elizabeth Rogers. Content died 19 June 1821 in Orange (North Milford), New Haven Co., Connecticut, at age 80. Her body was interred in Orange (North Milford), New Haven Co., Connecticut.
