HERE ARE SOME NETS THAT I ENJOY
PARTICIPATING IN FROM TIME TO TIME:
Fauquier Amateur Radio Association:
Wednesday evening net: 147.165 MHz Every Wednesday evening at 9:00 pm local
Eastern time.
HOTLINE: The HOTLINE net has operated almost daily since 1968: 3838 kHz 6:30 – 7:00 am local Eastern time Participants are mostly Eastern stations from Florida, S. Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and New Hampshire. The HOTLINE was started by some General Electric hams to test propagation on a daily basis between Philadelphia and Washington DC - about half the participants, like me, were never employed by GE. I joined the HOTLINE in 1990. There’s also a HOTLINE net that meets Wednesdays at 1 pm on 7183.5 kHz with participants from North and South Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
K6DUE SAREX NET:Former NBC broadcaster and SAREX
official, Roy Neal, runs this net discussing the latest SAREX missions,
NASA-related subjects and general ham interest matters: 7153 KHz Saturdays 9:15
- 10:00 am local Eastern time.
Feel fee to join in any of the above nets on an informal basis.
