"Water Galaxy" 22x31,  1998   Black slate sweeping up from the lower left contrasts with sliced, silvered pieces of Labradorite which fill out the remainder of the background.  The silvering on the back of the thin slices of Labradorite allows light to reflect though the clearer portions of the crystalline structure, resulting in an effect like stars in the sky.
