"Forming of the World" a Reflective Glass Mosaic

"Forming of the World" is 21 x 28 inches. The dark background is made of sliced Labradorite, used here to offset the colored mirror. Variations in the stone's crystalline structure cause the background to reflect occasional bright points of light. Except for the light used to illuminate the stone, the rest is room light that the mirror is reflecting. It is a philosophical mix of east and west. The main outline was drawn in one gesture, one stroke, while the rest took two and one half years to fill in.
