This gentleman is John Sailer, a son of Joseph Sailer and the father of Dr. Joseph Sailer, who married my grandmother, Mary Lowber Strawbridge. John Sailer was the founder of Sailer & Stevenson, a Philadelphia banking firm, and he served as a Lieutenant in the Keystone Battery during the Civil War. He was married to Emily Woodward Sailer.
