ORDER of the DAUGHTERS of the KING

The ORDER of the DAUGHTERS of the KING is an order for lay women.  The Rev.  Dr. Kathleen Price from All Saints (Oakley) Episcopal Church in Avenue is a Daughter and is proposing to start an exploratory class for lay women who might be interested in Daughters of the King.    All lay women who are interested are asked to speak to Rev.  Rona Harding

 


EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY (EFM)

The Education for Ministry program is sponsored by Church of the Ascension, St. Andrew's , St. George's, All Saints OAKLEY, and Trinity .  Every baptized person is called to ministry.  The Education for Ministry program provides people from all walks of life with the education "to be" Christians and to carry out their ministry.  All Christians need a Christian education which supports their faith and which prepares them to express that faith in day-to-day events. 

 

Thousands of person have completed this four-year program.  You enroll one year at a time, can transfer almost anywhere in the USA and in many foreign countries, and can obtain 18 Continuing Education Units per year by participating. 

 

The course was designed by St. Luke's Seminary, Sewanee.  It is a four-year course but can be started any year.  Call the church office at 301-863-8551 to register or click here for the latest information.

COURSE ON CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE

A video course on Christian marriage based on the Song of Solomon will be offered to couples from all five Episcopal churches in our area.  This six-week series, designed to add another level of depth to your relationship.  For information on future offerings, please call the church office at 301-863-8551. 

 

PARENTING YOUR PARENTS

Coping with aging parents is an issue that we will or are currently facing. This six week course helps those of us to think through the issues involved with aging parents. Those interested in additional information should contact the Rector via the church office at 301-863-8551. 

 

CHRISTIAN PARENTING

There will be three opportunities to take courses on Christian Parenting.  The classes will begin on Saturday, September 29, 2002, at 5:00pm and following classes will be held on October 27th and November 24th.  St. Andrew's Parish will host the classes.
