1903 Deed to John and Lucy Hayth from George Shafer

This deed, made the 31st day of March in the year 1903, between George Milton Shafer, and Mollie Susan Shafer (Nee Hayth) his wife of the town of Blacksburg, of Montgomery County, in the state of Virginia, and Nannie Lee Lipes (Nee Hayth) widow of the late Francisco Lipes, Henry Lee Cahoon, and Charlotte T. Cahoon (Nee Hayth) his wife, Robert L Humphries and Daisy Gertrude Humphries (Nee Hayth) his wife, and Joseph P. Hayth, all the latter parties of the town of Clifton Forge, of Allegheny County, and Henry S. Hayth and Ida Hayth (Nee Brooks) his wife of the town of Buchanan, Botetourt County, in the state of Virginia, parties of the first part and John E. Hayth and Lucy E. Hayth (Nee Cahoon) his wife, of the coundy of Botetourt, in the state aforesaid parties of the second part; witnesseth, that in consideration of the sum of ($32.00) thirty-two dollars, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the first part doth grant and convey unto the said parties of the second part all their interest in the 49 acres described below, with general warranty all that certain tract or parcel of land, lying on the south side of James River, near Springwood, Botetourt County, Virginia, and adjoins the lands of John H. Cummings, George W. Styne, Samuel H. Lipes and Ferdinand Kessler. The said grantors release to the grantees all their claims upon the land above described, granted and conveyed by parties of the first part; to the described land, (being a portion of the lands of the late John Shafer) hereby conveyed, or intended to be conveyed, witness the following signatures and seals,
