Kempton Complex Monitoring Project - Garrett County
Each year since reclamation activities have taken place at the Kempton site, Professor Peter Skylstad and students of the Natural Resources and Wildlife Technology Program at Garrett College have conducted systematic surveys of the types and densities of vegetation, mammals, benthic invertebrates, amphibians and fish at the wetland areas on the Kempton site. Sophisticated GPS and GIS
technologies have been used to ensure that sampling is done from exactly the
