The Arundel Vocal Arts Society is a community singing group of approximately 60 men and women from all parts of Anne Arundel County who simply enjoy the art of singing in a choral environment. The Society was formed 19 years ago to support the art of choral singing by performing a wide variety of musical styles with orchestral accompaniment.

The chorus' repertoire ranges from classical choral masterworks and traditional Christmas pieces performed with orchestra to Broadway musicals and standard popular music performed with instrumental ensembles. It is a goal of Arundel Vocal Arts to maintain a high caliber profile by giving performances that are dignified, yet exciting for both the audience and the singers.

Besides the two major concerts that annually comprise its season (classical and Christmas music in December; Broadway and pops in the Spring), the group has also performed at the following:

Arundel Vocal Arts director is Glenette (Rohner) Schumacher. Glenette was one of the charter members of the group and became its musical and artistic director in 1994 upon the retirement of Ava Shields, the group's first and only other director. Glenette has an extensive background in conducting, musical directing and arranging, having over 100 musicals and concerts to her credit in the Baltimore-Annapolis area.
