IVV Rules · · Introduction
According to §19, Div. 2 of the IVV Statutes and Bylaws, the following rules are issued:
The International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV) regards as "Volkssport" events such as: volksmarches, bicycling, skiing, swimming, skating etc., as events without a competitive character, without obligatory times, and without winners.
Such events as organized by National Volkssport Federations and member clubs in the IVV are open to everybody and are intended to promote the participants personal physical fitness without stress and physical exhaustion.
IVV regards these events as contributions to people's health.
The Volkssport events of the National Volkssport Federations and the member clubs in the IVV are necessary for achieving the International Volkssport Award.
By promoting Volkssport, the IVV solely and unselfishly supports the public's welfare. It is a non-profit movement.
The member clubs of the National Volkssport Federations and the single member clubs in the IVV must promote the IVV ideas and tasks as well as possible and must adhere strictly to the IVV Statutes and Bylaws and regulations issued by the Full Presidium.
The member clubs of the National Volkssport Federations and the single member clubs in the IVV must conduct their Volkssport events in such a way so the IVV aims will not be damaged.
