The answers to my MM Trivia
That's right, a lot of people have asked me the answers to my MM trivia, so here they are:)
(Besides, you've waited long enough:))
Q. #1 - What
was the name of the man who invented Mighty Mouse?
A. - Paul Terry (Terry-Toons). Mighty Mouse was invented by Paul Terry in 1942. Mighty Mouse was his most popular character ever:)
Q. #2 - What
rock group has the same name, as the first name, of MM's
girlfriend?
A. - Well, I have received many E-mails from people who wanted to know his girlfriend's name. So, in a way, I am answering two questions:) Mighty Mouse's girlfriend's name is Pearl Pureheart. The rock group who shares her first name is, of course, "Pearl Jam":)
Q. #3 - What
was the name of Mighty's little pal in Ralph Bakshi's
"Mighty Mouse, the New Adventures" series?
A. - His name was Scrappy. Mighty befriended him once when Scrappy was feeling bad about not having any parents.
Q. #4 - In
what cartoon did Mighty meet his girlfiend?
A. - Mighty met Pearl in a cartoon titled "Fight to the Finish", 1947. It was the same cartoon that he met his nemesis, Oil Can Harry.
Q. #5 - What
was the name of the first MM series on TV?
A. - It was called "The Mighty Mouse Play House", and it aired on Dec. 10th 1955. It was also the very first cartoon series on Saturday mornings:)
Q. #6 - Was
Mighty Mouse always known as Mighty Mouse? If not, what was his
name?
A. - When he first got started, Mighty Mouse was known as Super Mouse. Terry changed his name from Super to Mighty in 1945, after a disgruntled Terry employee took the charector's name (Super Mouse) and used it in a comic book series. It worked out for the best after all, Mighty Mouse IS Terry's #1 character. I think that it worked out for the best because Mighty Mouse has a name all of his own:)
Q. #7 - What
was the name of the only, feature length, Mighty Mouse cartoon
and what series made it?
A. - "The Great Space Chase". It was done by the Filmation Co. in the early 80's.
Well, that about does it, that answers all of my MM trivia questions:)
