Nick Sitarski is a retired Virginia Beach Police Sergeant who served 21 years with the
Virginia Beach Police Department. Nick has a Masters degree in Police Administration from
Golden Gate University and a Bachelors in Criminology from St. Leo College.
He enjoyed a progressive career where through hard work, administrative skills and promotions, he became Executive Aide to the Chief of Police. He assisted in developing Departmental Policies, chaired several committees and was the President of the Police Supervisors' Association.
As a supervisor concerned about maintaining professionalism in Law Enforcement, Nick felt there was a need to develop a supervisors organization. He founded and developed the Police Supervisors Association in 1986. This Association is the oldest police supervisor Association in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Upon becoming the Legislative Director of VCOPS, Nick began the task of coordinating the organizations efforts to educate the Virginia Legislature about the needs of Virginia's working Law Enforcement Officers. When the Legislature is not in session, Nick helps continue the growth of VCOPS through organizing activities.
