GENERAL JACKSON'S UNIFORM COAT TO BE RESTORED
![]()
The Virginia Division of the UDC recently donated $2,100 to the VMI Museum for the complete restoration of a pair of uniform trousers that belonged to Confederate General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson. The trousers went on display in the Museum on July 20, following the burial of Jackson's warhorse, Little Sorrel. The uniform frock coat that goes with the trousers is still in need of restoration. The Virginia Division of the UDC is cooperating in the effort to raise the $6,600 that will be required for the restoration and urges all interested parties to send a contribution to the VMI Museum at:
