The Urban Open Space Manager

The Urban Open Space Manager is a quarterly newsletter for land managers, planners, landscape architects, biologists, and others interested in wildlife and nature conservation in the metropolitan environment. Issues appear in March, June, September, and December. The intent of this newsletter is to go beyond posting of news items, happenings, conferences, etc. to present in readable form substantive articles involving research, planning, design, education and management.

Reader Response

I am finding Issue 2 very helpful. The Seattle article could not have arrived at a better time (dealing with a problematic park bond here). Also, I am particularly interested in burrowing owls and was very glad to see the inclusion of the JFO article summary.

I enjoyed the first two issues. Any info on moose and bears would be of interest.

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your excellent materials. I save your newsletters as my reward at the end of yet another day of explaining how we can share our space with urbanized wildlife. Your materials are well researched, practical and appreciated.
