- About the Company
- The TriTek Corporation is a Virginia-based development and
manufacturing company specializing in application requiring
expertise in microscopic video imaging, analytical software, and
computerized motion control.
-
- Founded in 1992, TriTek's first mission was to reinvent the
compound microscope. Our primary goal was to develop a fully
integrated computerized microscope using an electronic video
imaging system and the finest optical components available while
maintaining a user-friendly ergonomic environment. In 1995, we
launched our PC-based vision workstations achieving great success
as shown by our growing list of satisfied customers that include
some of the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers and
healthcare providers.
-
- TriTek has extensive experience in electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical,
pneumatic and hydraulic design engineering and employs
3-dimensional modeling to assure first-time-build functionality.
-
- TriTek's design philosophy and software development assures cost
effective custom applications and seamless integration into
manufacturing processes.
-
- The TriTek Corporation was incorporated by the
Commonwealth of Virginia State Corporation
Commission May 8, 1992. The company specializes
in adapting high-technology tools to make their
applications controllable from the screen of a
personal computer monitor by using video imaging
and motion control technologies. The adapted
tools can be controlled from the display screen
using interfaces such as keyboard, mouse,
trackball, voice command, head pointer, or
cursor-activated keyboard. Tools targeted for
adaptation and subsequent marketing are those
that require an operator to maintain a rigid
posture for extended periods, often resulting in
sustaining debilitating injuries.
Application of adapted tools will reduce
on-the-job injury rates dramatically and will
also open up new career opportunities for people
with major mobility impairments.

- Senior Executives
The chief scientist at
TriTek is Rex
Hoover. Rex developed his expertise
through 34 years of work in
high-technology fields, with 7 of those
years as an electronics
specialist/reactor operator in the U.S.
Navy land-based nuclear power program. He
followed that service with 25 years with
the IBM Corporation where he developed
application techniques for scanning
electron microscopes and designed very
large scale integrated circuit chips. Rex
spent 7 years as a laboratory manager
with IBM before founding the TriTek
Corp., and is the president. |
|
The lead designer of
system software is Robert
Hoover, a gifted programmer who wrote
code as a hobby for 7 years before
joining TriTek in 1993. His first major
commercial product was the operating
system for the PC-Scope
computer-controlled microscope where he
achieved world-class productivity as the
principal programmer. Robert holds a
Bachelor of Science degree, Major in
Computer Science from Mary Washington
College. He is a director and
vice-president of the TriTek Corp. |
|
The applications
director is Patricia
Hoover. Patricia has 8 years of
experience working as a laboratory
specialist for the IBM Corporation. She
has a degree of Associate in Applied
Science, Major in Medical Laboratory
Technology from the State University of
New York and has extensive experience in
applying optical and transmission
electron microscopes to the analysis of
microelectronic structures. Patricia is
also a director of the TriTek Corp. |
