MILESTONE: HATFIELD MANAGES 200th WIN

It took nine long years to do it, but the first
victory of the double header on Sunday April 30,
2000, against the Postmen became Jay Hatfield's
200th regular season Men's/Masters Team win as a
softball manager.
It will all have been worth it if the players
and families that form the core of this team have
enjoyed themselves, and the game.
[Editors Note: The first 200 were a lot of fun!
Maybe I should go for 400...Ha! Jay]
A COMMEMORATIVE POEM...
Jay Hatfield: Self-Portrait
A contented little pig I am,
Endowed with every gift of man:
Every thought, every notion, every poem and song.
I'm Truth to the Tooth. I know no wrong.
A beast of many well earned honors.
A hog amongst my piglet brothers.
Oh, what a marvelous creature I am!
Someday I'll make a splendid ham.

[Editors Note #2: As of April 30, 2000, my "overall"
record is 310 wins, 210 losses, and 11 ties. This
includes all games, including coed, pre-season, and
post season games since 1987...But who's counting?]
