My Rear View Mirror
(The Series is Ours! Red Sox 2007)

The Series is ours! I'll lift a cheer or 
     drink a beer and praise this gloried game I love!
But now standing stark in my rear view mirror 
     slump the bitter Bronx boys I so deeply loathe. 

Although we passed the pinstriped prissies some time 
     ago, Yankees blue is still a sordid stain.
I'll flip them a digital farewell in kind,
     and they'll flail in my mirror.  We'll play again.
