With several players missing and the late scratch of Kyle Dabruzzi due to a bad
confrontation with some stairs on Monday, a pieced together Exporters team dropped the first game to AMG Triple Threat due to some anemic hitting and miscues in the field.
R.C. Wilson pitched well, walking 2 and striking out 1. The evening was marred by inconsistent umpiring both at the plate and on the bases. However, we managed not to have any players tossed from the game despite several warnings. We lost the first game 14-8.
In game 2 we came roaring back by shutting out our arch-nemesis 12-0. I don't believe any runner got further than second base the entire game. Our hitting still wasn't up to what it should have been, but it was enough to get the job done. Werner Ennesser had an outstanding night at the plate going 5 for 5. R.C. Wilson had a sterling performance on the mound with no walks and several good fielding plays, and great hustle to cover first base twice.
