Moissala Blues
(My African Poem)
 This is an awfully silly poem,
 But for this I must be excused.
 If you were as bored as I am here
 You'd be awfully silly, too.

 This is an awfully stupid poem,
 And it's really not getting much better.
 If I weren't such a lazy scum
 I'd probably be writing a letter.

 This is an awfully worthless poem,
 And writing it was a mistake.
 I ask myself, "Would I write like this
 If I were writing it back in the States?" 

 This is an awfully silly poem,
 And by now you must agree.
 Though Africa may be a lovely place
 The boredom is killing me!
