April 2006 Olivia had her dance recital again this year. She was the cutest thing in her tutu and tap shoes. She loves being on stage and dancing with the big girls. She says when she grows up she wants to be a dancing girl and a pink power ranger. Even though she likes dancing and being girly sometimes she is still a sister to 2 big brothers and loves playing with toy guns and wearing camouflage. You gotta love it! May 2006 Our family was involved with the Great Strides for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We were able to collect $3,000.00 for the Foundation this year. If you would like to donate for the coming year please send us your email address or snail mail address and we will surely contact you about the walk next year!!! We raise this money for the hope that one day there will be a cure for CF. Lucas is doing great and we want him to be able to live a life without this disease one day. We also celebrated Zachary's 14th birthday! Can you believe it! My little pudgy baby is 5'11 and wears a size 11 shoe. He towers over me but he will always be my baby boy. June 2006 The big day finally came and my little sister is hitched! She had a beautiful outside wedding and she made the most beautiful bride. Oh, and Sam was mighty handsome too! The kids love having an Uncle Sam ;o). We all had a great time and we all loved being in the wedding party. I think it will be awhile before we recover financially. Hee, Hee.. I'm sure my mom and dad are happy that the last one has flown the nest. No more weddings to pay for! July 2006 We took our yearly vacation to Daytona Beach. This year was a little different in the fact that just the immediate family was there. Terry, Tamie, Grammy, the grandkids and myself. It was nice to have time together and catch up on things. The cousins enjoyed themselves and Zachary even took his guitar. We were serenaded a couple of evenings which was really nice. We all enjoyed our yearly Cow Lick's fix. (a really yummy ice-cream store across the street). We also had some good news while on vacation this year. Terry became a grand-dad! Brandy had a beautiful baby boy while we were at the beach. We were able to stop by on our way home to visit. He is very cute and we look forward to visiting again soon. Lucas turned the big 9 years old on the 26th. He had a pool party with some friends and family and enjoyed his Pirates of the Caribbean theme party. We had great fun with our eye patches on and acting like pirates. Ay, Matey!!! Aug. 2006 We headed back to beach, but this time VA beach. Friends that we met while living in Charleston, the Lafaves, invited us to the Naval base for a weekend. We had a wonderful time reminiscing about Charleston and the kids, all 7 or them, had a blast on the beach. We love, love , love these friends and wish they lived a little closer to us. Jill, Craig and kids, thanks for the invite!! The summer wound down and the kids were itching to get back in school, NOT!! Sept. 2006 School started the day after Labor Day. We have a freshman in High School, a 4th grader and a pre-schooler. Zachary loves high school and the freedom that he has this year. He is taking world geography, advanced English, P.E., and agriculture. So far he has an A average in his classes. He really wants a Jackson Kelly guitar for Christmas and the deal is he has to keep the A average until Christmas. Check in later to see if he keeps up his end of the bargain! Lucas's teacher is an avid NASCAR fan. She is a Dale Jr. fan and Lucas thinks she is really cool. Olivia loves her teacher Miss Tory and is learning all kinds of new nursery rhymes and songs to sing. The kids (all 3) started fall soccer. Terry is still coaching Zach' s team and hopefully he will be playing on the high school team in the spring. Lucas is also a great little soccer player and Olivia thinks she's Mia Hamm! On a sad note, I had to put Webster down. He was almost blind, deaf and was having seizures. It broke my heart to watch him on a daily basis deteriorate like he was. I had put it off for too long. It was such a horrible day. Terry was not able to go to the vet with me. So, my dad went with me and then helped me bury him in the woods behind my Dad's house. We miss him so much. It is hard to believe he was 16 years old. He was such a good dog and sometimes I can still here him drinking from his water bottle, and his little toenails on the hard wood floor. October 2006 Olivia started baton and gymnastics. She did not want to take ballet and tap this year. She informed me that she wanted to "twirl the stick and do Gyn- Nastics". She loves Ms. Dale her teacher and wants to flip around and do cartwheels all the time. I took Olivia, my mom, Ashley, Johnna, Emily and Alicen to see Princess Wishes on Ice. It was AWESOME!! I think us grown-ups enjoyed it just as much or more than the kids did. Olivia's favorite part was Cinderella and the step sisters. She said they were "silly". Terry went on a field trip with Lucas. The 4th graders are learning about Jamestown, Va. They had a great time and Lucas enjoyed having Daddy all to himself. ;o)
