1801 Ct.  Being sick and weak in body, I give to my dau Elizabeth,
wf of John Carruth, $10 in money or cattle; to my dau Jane Cathey
a good bed and furniture, her horse with saddle and bridle, £20 in
money or trade, and maintenance on my plantation during her single
life; to my son George £7; to my dau Mary Allen two heifers and
£5; to my son Alexander Cathey the negro boy Dick and £10; and
to my son-in-law George Graham two cows or their equal in trade.
              To my sons John and Henry Cathey I divide the 330-acre
plantation where I now live together with the remainder of my
horses, livestock, farming tools, wagon and gear, household and
kitchen furniture, and my clothes. I also leave to my son John the
negroes Adam, James, and Luce, and to my son Henry the negroes
Tony, Phyllis, Moses, and Sandy.
              I give to my grandson Walter Carruth the negro girl
Dinah; to my granddau Frances Cathey a saddle and bridle, bed
and furniture, and a cow; to my granddau Mary Graham a negro
boy Peter; and to my grandson George Cathey son of Josiah
Cathey, a bed, two sheets, a blanket, and coverlet.  Exrs: Son
