FORGIVE ME DOCTOR
FORGIVE ME, DOCTOR
is the story of a northern town that explodes in what appeared to be an act of
racial violence, but in the exciting climax, it is discovered that the outbreak
is the creation of a corrupt cop who wanted to cover up a murder. Middle
aged men and women, who make up the largest block of book buyers in America
today, and who are nervously watching the chasm between the races widening in
their community again, will view this book as not only relevant, but important.
FORGIVE ME DOCTOR is book two in a trilogy of the sixties. Only a writer deeply
involved in the racial turbulence of that era could produce the dialogue and
create the true aura of those exciting days in American history. David Truskoff
is such a writer. This is another of David Truskoff's works that are based on
true experiences.
Dave Truskoff was a security guard for the Southern Christian Leadership
Conference during the Selma March. He was the voice of Delta Radio during the
Mississippi March, and acted as liaison between the Black and Puerto Rican
Coalition and the City of Hartford during the 1969 riots.
