Mont., P.G., A.A. Co. Postpones Games

Montgomery, Anne Arundel and Prince George's County schools ruled Friday morning to postpone all athletic contests this weekend in light of the national tragedy.

As of Friday afternoon, all other counties were scheduled to play.

However, since Montgomery County and Anne Arundel had scheduled non-county contests, there will be some spill over into other areas. For example, Damascus will not be playing at Linganore in Frederick County this weekend, nor will Northeast-AA travel to Liberty in Carroll County. The Liberty-Northeast game has been rescheduled for Monday.

No make-up dates have been announced for most of the last-minute cancellations. It is possible, in part to a Jewish holiday Monday, that this week's games will be lost in areas that decided to cancel events.
