RE: State Licensing of Third Party Administrators

The Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA) is the national association of independent Third Party contract administration (TPA) firms who provide outside benefit administration services to employer plans. 

Each year, SPBA asks that you fill out our survey of state licensing statutes.  Your office has been very helpful in providing us with information necessary for our member TPA firms to comply with your state regulations.  It is once again time to update our information in time to print the 2008 survey.

We are enclosing a copy of the "2007 State Licensing Requirements for Third Party Administrators" published last year.  We ask that you review the information and make any correction or additions on the listing as previously published.  Or, if you prefer, you can fill out the survey provided. We would appreciate receiving your corrections or changes by February 25, 2008 for inclusion in the 2008 TPA State Licensing Statutes.  

We ask that you respond to our survey in one of three ways, you can respond to our survey by downloading the survey from our website at http://users.erols.com/spba, fill out the survey, save the document and email as an attachment to Elizabeth @spbatpa.com. Or you can copy the survey attached to this email, fill out the survey and fax to 301-718-9440 or mail the information to us at the address listed above. 

After the publication is completed, SPBA will email to your office a complete copy of the survey. You are free to disseminate copies of the completed survey to your staff.
