Attacking, Set Play # 9 - Penalty kicks.

Penalty kicks. The attacking team has a penalty kick, and are in their prearranged position. The kicker must follow in his/her shot in and 4 of his/her teammates. Attacker 2, 3, 4 and 5, must converge on the goal for rebounds, being sure not to roam inside the area until the kick has been taken. Remember that if the ball comes back off the bar or post without the goalkeeper touching it, then the player who took the penalty must not touch it!

Things to remember to gain more set plays, (best option first)
1. Pass the ball to the back of the defense.
2. Cross the ball to the back of the defense.
3. Dribbling in the attacking third of the field.
4. Pressuring defenders in the attacking third of the field.
5. Shooting at goal in the attacking third of the field.

1. 72% of all goals are from one touch.
2. 22% of all goals are from the area of the far post.
3. 22% of all goals are from headers.
4. 17% of all goals are from volleys.
5. 16% of all goals are from outside the penalty area.
