Manuscript Illumination
Shulamit Widawsky

These are four ketubot in different styles. The top left is a somewhat traditional illuminated tree of life painted in acrylic paints, with a modern paper-cut boarder. Top right is a modern styled design, painted in gouache, using a protea and rose to represent the groom and bride (flowers were their choice). Bottom left is a very modern style ketubah. The design is paper-cut. The pomegranate curve in the middle creates a yin-yang symbol. Bottom right is a very traditional design using a painted boarder of biblical quotes appropriate to marriage. The circle boarder is made in paper-cut. The Hebrew there are the names of the bride and groom.
