| A poignant story by Ms. Appollo, of four high
school friends reunited, having gone their several ways. Lawyer
and writer Gia Scarpino returns to her Pennsylvania coal town
of origin after a successful career in the big world outside the
coalbanks. We then learn that the scariest things in the cemeteries
up on Cicada Mountain are not the ghosts of the departed. Illuminated
by that rare and special Spring Mountain light, one of the protagonists
makes the apt observation applicable to all returnees, everywhere:
"... It's always tenth grade." |
