Positions
Wanted
Shannon
C. Friedrichs: I have a strong background in public relations,
career development, and advertising, as well as advanced organizational
and computer skills. I am very interested in finding a position
at one of the area universities. I would also be interested in
a position requiring heavy research and/or communication skills.
I
am a recent graduate of Smith College with intimate knowledge
of the DC area. I have recently completed an executive training
program at a public relations firm but have turned down their
offer to take a full time position. I am looking for a job that
exercises my skills while motivating me mentally and emotionally.
I miss the camaraderie of bright and engaging women and am looking
for a nurturing environment where my talents can really shine.
This
past summer I interned with MSNBC in Washington. Working as a
production assistant/researcher helped me understand just what
it takes to provide comprehensive, quality driven work under significant
time constraints.
Before
my time with MSNBC, I worked for seven months with Struble Oppel
Donovan Communications, a political media-consulting firm on Capitol
Hill. While there, I gained significant experience in a variety
of production areas. Now I would like to take the skills I learned
in television, advertising and public relations to explore other
fields. I would also be interested in working as an advocate of
children and/or educational issues.
I
have extensive experience with Excel, Word, and Netscape. I enjoy
working in a fast paced environment and take pride in delivering
quality
work on time.
I
look forward to speaking with you soon about any opportunities
that a Smithie might be able to offer me. You can also reach me
by e-mail at elinordash@aol.com. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Shannon C. Friedrichs
