The Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines was the only joint venture between the two rival Philadelphia-based railroads - the Pennsylvania and Reading. The PRSL served as South Jersey's own railroad from 1933 until it was absorbed into Conrail in 1976 after the bankrupty of both of its parent railroads. Click here to learn more about the PRSL equipment, expecially the PRSL RDCs.
Operating
since July 1996, the Cape May Seashore Lines is Cape May County's newest
railroad line. Eight of the original PRSL RDCs are currently running
on CMSL rails. Click here to find out more about the RDCs and the rest
of the CMSL equipment by visiting a Cape May Seashore Lines Home Page.
A current schedule, route map, and information about some of the CMSL stations
is also available here.
