HEARTBEAT passed away in December of 2004 after leaving a wonderful legacy in our herd, and an empty
spot in our hearts. She loved to show and enjoyed stealing cotton candy from any spectator getting close
enough for her to do so at the fairs. She founded one of our strongest doe lines and we are thankful to have
many of them in the herd today to carry on her tradition of elegance and style.
She was a sharp, smoothly blended doe who carries herself with great presence and has a beautiful and capacious udder!! Highlights of her show career inlcude being named GCH, BU and BDIS over some of the country's TOP La Manchas at the 1996 Prince William County Fair, GCH & BU at the prestigious Montgomery County Fair, and BU at the Maryland State Fair! She is proving to be a valued brood doe! Daughters include UNGUARDED,who was 2x GCH Junior Doe and 1x ResGCH, LA 84 at 2-02 ... GRACIE, who was 1st Place Senior Kid at the Maryland State Fair as the youngest kid in the class ... LEAD ME ON,who was lst place junior doe kid & Reserve Jr Champion at Prince William County Fair - freshened with a lovely udder - was 2nd 2x as a milking yearling and LA 2-02 83 ... and AGELESS MEDLEY and AGE TO AGE,both of whom topped their class as junior kids and freshened with lovely udders!! AGE TO AGE gave us MAGIC, who is maturing into a gorgeous doe - winning GCH and BJDIS as
a Junior Doe and GCH and Best Udder at her only show as a milker in 2004! And MAGIC has give us MYSTIQUE, who may be
even nicer than her dam!
Her son DARIUS sired of one of our previous Herd Sires, TYLWYTH TEG, sire of SHAMAN, whose daughters are freshening
with beautiful mammaries and very strong General Appearance.
Her daughter POPPY founded a strong doe line in the Catalpa Hill Herd of Jim Conlan, VA.
Everyone asks about the names in this doe line .. they are all named for either Amy Grant or Neil Diamond songs :-)
