I am currently building a new Firearm Law website. The new site will have more information including a Frequently Asked Question section. I don't know the answers to every question. Please visit this section before emailing me a question. I don't always have the time to answer questions. The new site can be found at:

I am presenting this guide for amusement purposes only and this information is presented without warranties, express or implied, regarding the information's accuracy, timeliness, or completeness. PLEASE NOTE: In addition to state laws, the purchase, sale and (in certain circumstances) the possession and interstate transportation of firearms is regulated by the Gun Control Act of 1968 as amended by the Firearms Owners Protection Act. Also, cities and localities may have their own firearms ordinances in addition to federal and state laws. Details may be obtained by contacting local law enforcement authorities, and by consulting the State Laws and Published Ordinances of Firearms, available from the U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C. 20402.
Most of the links you'll find on this site are to Official State, local or Federal sources (where available). I did this so visitors to my site can educate themselves on the law. If you own or intend to own firearms, you should know the laws of the federal, state and local governments pertaining to firearms for your place of residence. Some states do not allow local governments to have their own laws pertaining to firearms (this is called preemption). Other states do not have a preemption law. Meaning local governments can have their own laws pertaining to firearms which may differ from state law.
Feel free to email me with any questions or comments you may have concerning firearms. I have read just about every federal and state law on the books. I am NOT an attorney and I do NOT give legal advice. I will answer your questions based on the written law. Or at least I'll direct you to a site that will answer your question.
I am a resident of Pennsylvania. I know the Pennsylvania Laws pertaining to firearms very well. I hope you enjoy the site.
