Amy Christine Dumas was born on April 14, 1975 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Always being a very athletic person, this 5'7", 135lb. single lady says she became interested in professional wrestling after watching Rey Mysterio, Jr. and she would someday like to have her own action figure. After studying judo and kickboxing, Amy started her professional wrestling career in the spring of 1999. She began managing/wrestling in several indy feds including the NWA, the EMLL, and Motor City Wrestling. She was Christian York's manager, Angelica, in Maryland Championship Wrestling before she moved to ECW as Miss Congeniality. Her first real exposure was at the Heat Wave PPV in July 1999. Shortly thereafter, this 25 year old native of Florida entered The Funking Conservatory II wrestling school in Ocala, FL before continuing her role as Danny Doring's valet. She left ECW in late 1999 and, after recovering from surgery, she appeared in the WWF as a valet in February 2000. She made her WWF debut February 13, 2000 as Lita, the valet for the Light Heavyweight Champion Essa Rios. She has since become a wrestler in her own right, and has been wowing crowds with her signature moves: the hurricanrana and top-rope moonsault. After appearing in matches with such main eventers as The Rock, Triple HHH, and Chris Jericho, Lita defeated Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley to become the Federation Women's Champion on August 21, 2000.
